What is Breathwork, and is it right for me?

Breathwork is a guided practice using conscious breathing to calm your nervous system, release stored stress, and help you feel more balanced and present.

It’s suitable for anyone—whether you’re new to self-care, exploring emotional healing, or seeking relaxation. Each session is trauma-informed, so you’re always supported and in control.

Who leads the retreats?

All retreats are personally facilitated by Kim Moore, founder of Total Health Retreats.

With over 30 years of experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine, bodywork, breathwork, and trauma-informed guidance, Kim holds a compassionate, grounded space for each participant’s unique healing process.

How do the Elements guide each stage of the retreat?

Each retreat phase corresponds to an Element, cleansing and supporting the organs and emotions connected to it:

EARTH

  • Spleen, Stomach, Pancreas
  • Grounding, nourishment, and stability

METAL

  • Lungs, Large Intestine
  • Letting go and clearing stagnation

WATER

  • Kidney, Bladder, Adrenals

Can you accommodate allergies or special dietary needs?

Yes. Please share your allergies or sensitivities when booking or at least two weeks before your retreat.

While we can accommodate most needs, menus are thoughtfully structured and fixed once the retreat begins to maintain balance and group coherence.

Who are your retreats for?

Our retreats are for anyone seeking a deeper sense of health, clarity, and vitality—whether your focus is physical cleansing, emotional healing, stress relief, or personal renewal.

You don’t need prior experience with yoga, meditation, or TCM—only an openness to reconnect with yourself and your body’s natural wisdom.

Each retreat follows our Whole-Body Health Framework, integrating:

What can I expect to feel afterward?

Healing continues beyond the retreat, as new awareness and balance naturally integrate into daily life.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made 30 days before your retreat receive a full refund (minus a small administrative fee).

Within 8-14 days, we offer a parital refund (less 5% fee)

Within 7 days, we offer flexible options to transfer your booking or apply credit toward a future retreat.

How are nutrition and meals approached during the retreat?

Food is central to our healing philosophy—it’s nourishment, medicine, and ritual.

Our menus are anti-inflammatory, gluten- and dairy-free, and aligned with the energetic needs of your organ systems.

Meals are designed to reduce inflammation, ease digestion, and restore balance.

Whenever possible, we use seasonal, local, and organic ingredients.

What kinds of bodywork and therapies are included?

Each retreat includes a blend of hands-on therapies such as massage, body scrubs, and wraps—alongside Qi Gong, meridian stretching, and breathwork.

Every session is synchronized with the retreat phase and nutrition plan, enhancing physical, emotional, and energetic renewal.

 

What is the environment like during the retreat?

Our settings are peaceful, nature-connected, and technology-free—inviting you to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with presence.

Devices are safely stored, with scheduled access and emergency contact available.
